Job summary

Van Buren ISD seeks a Speech & Language Pathologist - Early On to provide in-home direct services and consultative support for birth-3 children within the natural environment. You will conduct comprehensive evaluations and help families develop IFSPs aligned with Early Intervention principles.

The position requires a Master’s in SLP, licensed or CCC-SLP, and experience with birth-3 populations. Base location is the Special Services Building in Lawrence, MI; some offsite duties apply.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in speech-language pathology required.
• Michigan teaching certificate with speech and language endorsement or CCC-SLP required.
• Experience with families and children birth to age 3 preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations to determine eligibility for Early On/MMSE.
• Collaboratively develop IFSPs aligned with Early Intervention principles.
• Provide early intervention services to students with IFSPs in collaboration with families.
• Coordinate transitions from Early On to MMSE with providers.
• Communicate effectively with parents, staff and agencies in a timely manner.
• Stay current with best practices in Early Childhood and Early Intervention.
