Job summary

SuperCare Health in San Diego is seeking a Respiratory Support Specialist to coordinate PAP therapy setup, educate patients, and handle insurance aspects of care. The role emphasizes excellent customer service and collaboration with clinicians and providers to ensure timely service delivery.

Extensive training is provided; evenings/weekends may be required. A high school diploma and healthcare-related experience are preferred, with bilingual skills considered a plus.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• At least 1 year of customer service, healthcare admin, insurance verification, claims, billing, or related experience.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency with computer systems, data entry, and Microsoft Office.
• Experience with healthcare insurance billing and PAP therapy is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate PAP equipment set-up appointments and ensure timely delivery of services to patients.
• Provide instruction and education to patients regarding PAP equipment usage, cleaning, maintenance, and therapy expectations.
• Explain patient financial responsibility, insurance coverage, copayments, and payment options.
• Deliver exceptional customer service while responding to patient inquiries, concerns, and follow-up needs.
• Monitor PAP patient compliance and proactively communicate with patients to encourage therapy adherence and successful treatment outcomes.
• Maintain professional and compassionate communication with patients, caregivers, physicians, and referral sources.
