Qualifications

Certification: Valid Maine PSS Certification (or willingness to complete training).
Background: Must be 18+ with a high school diploma or equivalent.
Transportation: Reliable vehicle, valid driver's license, proof of active auto insurance.
Character: Patient, sympathetic attitude toward the elderly and commitment to high-quality care.
Physical: Ability to perform lifting, bending and standing tasks.

Responsibilities

Personal Care: Assist with bathing, dressing, grooming and oral hygiene.
Mobility Support: Help with walking, transfers (bed to chair), fall prevention.
Household Support: Light housekeeping incl. laundry, dishes, vacuuming, tidying.
Nutrition: Assist with meal planning, grocery shopping, and healthy meals.
Companionship: Provide emotional support, conversation and engagement in activities.
Transportation: Escort clients to appointments and run essential errands.
Reporting: Observe changes and communicate updates to the supervisor.
