Job summary

Seniors Helping Seniors Ozarks is hiring in-home caregivers to brighten the lives of seniors in Springfield, Nixa, Ozark, Republic, Battlefield, Rogersville, Willard and surrounding areas. Our caregivers, who are seniors themselves, provide compassionate care in the comfort of the care receiver’s home to help with daily tasks.

Qualifications

• Enjoy working with our senior population
• Be a caring, empathetic, compassionate and reliable individual
• Understand the importance of our SHS services to our seniors

• Ability to follow detailed instructions to execute our care plan
• Maturity to deal effectively with the demands of the job

• Be proactive to find other ways to help our seniors once all tasks have been completed

Responsibilities

• Provide Companionship
• Assist with Light Housekeeping such as laundry, vacuuming, washing dishes, etc…
• Shopping and Errands
• Meal Preparation
• Medication Reminders
• Pet Care
• Light Yard Work
• Light Handyman Services
• Overnight Supervision
• Incidental Transportation to doctor’s appointments, family, or their favorite restaurant
• Assist with Dressing
• Assist with Feeding
• Assist with Showering / Bathing
• Mobility Assistance
• Assist with Toileting / Incontinence
• Memory Care
• Arrive on Time for all Services
• Caregivers may be contacted by management outside of standard office hours when coverage is needed for open shifts.
• Maintain documentation of all services provided
• Record and report changes in the client’s physical condition, behavior, or appearance to our office staff
• Communicate regularly and proactively with our office staff
• Participate in relevant in-service opportunities and other informational meeting when possible
• Clock in and out using our care management system
