Job summary

Almost Family in Madras, Oregon is seeking compassionate caregivers to provide in-home personal care and heartfelt companionship to seniors in our community.

You will support daily routines, help with bathing, grooming, dressing, meal preparation, light housekeeping, and safe transportation to appointments while safeguarding health and safety standards. The role offers paid training, benefits, and biweekly pay.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent and at least 18 years of age.
• Compassionate heart (ideally with one year of experience caring for seniors or those with disabilities).
• Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug screening.
• Valid driver's license and auto insurance.
• Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist our clients with daily routines, including gentle help with bathing, grooming, dressing, and preparing nutritious, home-cooked meals.
• Keep a caring eye on our clients' well-being, documenting their progress and ensuring their health needs are always a top priority.
• Foster a warm, safe, and organized living space where clients feel secure and respected.
• Adhere to health and safety policies and regulations.
• Lend a hand with light housekeeping and laundry to keep the home running smoothly.
• Safely escort and transport clients to medical appointments and important errands, helping them stay connected to their community.
