Almost Family in Terrebonne, Oregon is recruiting compassionate caregivers to provide in-home care and companionship for seniors in the clients’ homes. The role focuses on daily living activities, safety, and comfort as part of a trusted family-like service.

You will help with bathing, grooming, meal preparation, light housekeeping, and transport to appointments while upholding dignity and respect for each client. Strong communication and reliability are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent and at least 18 years of age.
• Compassionate heart; ideally with one year of experience caring for seniors or those with disabilities.
• Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug screening.
• Valid driver's license and auto insurance.
• Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Empowering Independence: Assist clients with daily routines including bathing, grooming, dressing, and preparing nutritious meals.
• Attentive Advocacy: Monitor well-being, document progress, and prioritize health needs.
• Creating a Sanctuary: Maintain a warm, safe, and organized living space for clients.
• Health and Safety: Adhere to health and safety policies and regulations.
• Home Comforts: Help with light housekeeping and laundry to keep the home running smoothly.
• Out & About: Safely escort and transport clients to medical appointments and errands.
