Job summary

RCM HealthCare Travel is seeking a local contract Physical Therapist for a home-based school assignment in Pittsburgh, PA. The position supports one student with life skills needs, delivering in-person sessions in the home setting.

The contract runs 13 weeks, 40 hours per week, with 8-hour daily shifts. Minimum qualifications include a PA PT license and a Master's or Doctorate in Physical Therapy, plus pediatric experience and IDEA knowledge.

Qualifications

• Master's or Doctorate in Physical Therapy from an accredited program is required.
• Active Pennsylvania Physical Therapist License is required.
• Current Pennsylvania Child Abuse Clearance, Pennsylvania State Police Background Check, and FBI Fingerprint Clearance are required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct educationally relevant PT evaluations to identify barriers affecting student access to the school environment.
• Develop measurable IEP goals and provide direct PT services focused on mobility and participation.
• Assess, fit, and train staff on adaptive equipment (wheelchairs, gait trainers, standers, seating).
• Consult with teachers, paraprofessionals, and families on transfers, positioning, mobility, and classroom accommodations.
• Maintain documentation and progress reports per IDEA and state regulations.
