Competitive Salary: Total Compensation opportunity for top performers of $150,000 and above (consisting of a base annual salary of $40,000 plus commission).

The In Home Sales Specialist is a vital role in Services sales execution, providing customers with the right home improvement products, the best service, and value, from the comfort of their home. This role involves delivering a superior client experience by accurately assessing customer needs and creating final quotes/proposals swiftly. The associate spends most of their time in customers' homes or other locations to discuss project plans. They must be comfortable owning customer relationships, engaging in conversations to understand needs, providing product and project consultation, and overcoming challenges to close sales. Success in this role requires strong sales skills, the ability to generate and maintain new business opportunities, and a commitment to service excellence.

Travel Requirements: Frequent travel between customer sites is required.

Essential Functions:

  1. Discover customer needs and offer solutions through the company’s services or products.
  2. Become an expert in our product offerings and serve as a go-to source for clients seeking information.
  3. Meet sales objectives.
  4. Maintain strong relationships within the assigned territory through active engagement.
  5. Provide excellent customer service by following Lowe's policies, procedures, and programs.
  6. Respond promptly to customer and employee questions, guiding them through projects when necessary.
  7. Communicate product and service information, including stock, special orders, benefits, applications, and warranties.
  8. Build client relationships by asking qualifying questions to assess needs.
  9. Overcome client objections by understanding their motivations and desired outcomes.
  10. Capture measurements, confirm product selections, review next steps, and schedule follow-ups.
  11. Follow up with clients during promotional periods if they haven't made a decision.
  12. Call clients 24 hours prior to appointments to confirm.
  13. Prepare for appointments by coordinating calls, products, and activities.
  14. Work with contractors and installers to quote, sell, and produce accurate jobs.
  15. Keep the appointment calendar updated for scheduling.
  16. Provide detailed updates to the Sales Manager during 1-1 meetings.
  17. Deliver paperwork and project information to ensure accurate and timely project execution.
  18. Maintain project folders and ensure all paperwork complies with policies.
  19. Keep collateral, samples, and forms in good condition for demonstrations.
  20. Take safety precautions when visiting customers' homes and adhere to safety protocols in the store.
  21. Qualifications include a High School diploma or GED, 1-2 years of residential construction or face-to-face sales experience, a valid driver’s license, and reliable transportation.
  22. If required by local regulations, obtain a salesperson license within 60 days of employment.

Preferences:

  • 1-2 years' experience with Lowe's or similar CRM systems.
  • 1-2 years in-home or commission-based sales experience.
