Budget Blinds of New Orleans is seeking a polished Sales and Design Consultant to conduct scheduled in-home consultations and guide customers in choosing custom window treatments that fit style, needs, and budget.

This consultative sales role combines relationship-building, design guidance, and problem-solving. Commission-only with uncapped earnings; full-time preferred but flexible/part-time options may be considered.

Qualifications

• Two years of sales experience preferred.
• Experience in consultative sales, home improvement, interior design, or other high-consideration purchases.
• Polished communication style and ability to build trust with customers.

Responsibilities

• Conduct in-home consultations throughout Orleans and Jefferson Parishes.
• Learn customer goals: style, budget, privacy, light-control, functional needs.
• Recommend blinds, shades, shutters, drapery, and window-covering solutions.
• Present products, options, and pricing clearly and confidently.
• Help customers make informed purchasing decisions and finalize orders.
• Measure windows accurately and document project details.
• Prepare quotes and submit complete orders.
• Follow up with customers who do not purchase initially.
• Maintain organized pipeline and customer records.
• Provide a seamless handoff to operations after the sale.
