Renegade Talent Group is seeking experienced closers for a residential roofing role on Long Island. You will guide homeowners through a consultative, one-visit sale, inspecting the roof and attic, building the estimate, presenting it, and closing the deal.
The inside team qualifies homeowners and books your calendar, so you focus on closing. Compensation is straight commission on gross profit, with a floor around $183K and top performers near $293K, with quarterly bonuses.
For proven closers only. If you’ve never closed deals for a living, this isn’t your post.
You’re the best closer in your building and you’re starving for leads. Or the comp plan changed right after your best year. Either way, you already know the problem isn’t your skill. It’s the machine around it.
This is the in-home sales seat at a growing residential roofing company on Long Island. Homeowners reach out, an inside team qualifies them and books the appointment, and you show up, inspect the roof and attic, build the estimate, present it, and ask for the business. One visit. No cold calling. No door knocking. No chasing. The appointments exist; the company needs closers who can run them at a high standard.
Take a second and ask yourself:
If any of those hit a nerve, keep reading.
We’re Renegade Talent Group, recruiting for a residential roofing company on Long Island whose name we’re keeping out of this post on purpose. The best closers are currently employed, and confidential searches protect everyone. You’ll know exactly who the company is before you commit to anything, and nobody will know you looked.
What we can tell you: the owner is in the building, not on a corporate org chart three states away. The company runs on five values — We Own It, We Grow or Die, We Do the Right Thing, We Do Whatever It Takes, and We’re Fast for a Reason — and they hire, promote, and fire by them. Two matter most for you. We Grow or Die means nobody in that room is a finished product — including the veterans, including the owner. The best reps there keep getting sharper because the people around them do. And their sales culture rejects both broken models in this industry: no prima donnas, no order-takers. Salespeople get real support from the office and the crews, because everyone’s paycheck depends on the sales seat performing.
You’ll guide homeowners through one of the biggest purchases they’ll ever make, and own the outcome. This is consultative, process-driven selling: trust built in the living room, a defined process followed with discipline, a decision earned in one visit.
Start here, because nobody else does this: your appointment count is guaranteed. A minimum number of sits, on average, in writing — not “great lead flow,” a number the company commits to. Try to find another shop that puts that in writing.
Beyond that, a staff that works with you. An inside team qualifies every homeowner and books your calendar — you never dig up your own appointments. A production team that makes you look good after the signature, because your referrals and reviews depend on the install. Estimating tools that build accurate quotes in minutes. A company truck you take home, with a gas card — yours to run, because you’re trusted with it. The scoreboard is public, the standard is held, and there’s no dead weight in the room dragging your name down.
Straight commission on gross profit — and here’s the math, not a promise. We penciled this floor on purpose using conservative numbers: 35% close rate, $15K tickets, 7 appointments a week. That comes out to about $183K a year — as the floor. The actual average ticket is $20K, and reps run 7–15 appointments a week, so real earnings run past the pencil math. Elite performers come out near $293K with quarterly bonuses on top. You will not find a documented floor at the shops posting “$300K uncapped!!” — because they can’t show you the math.
