Job summary

Accendra Health seeks a dedicated Respiratory Therapist to assist in treatment and management of patients with clinical needs. You will instruct patients and caregivers on equipment use, conduct clinical assessments, and support follow-up care in home and community settings.

You will operate respiratory care devices, maintain accurate patient records, and collaborate with physicians on plans of care. Licensure, CPR, and NBRC are required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited respiratory therapy program.
• NBRC certification.
• RCP license in the state(s) of practice.
• Current CPR certification.
• Valid driver’s license and auto insurance per Apria policy.
• English language proficiency.
• At least one year related experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Instruct patients/caregivers on proper equipment use.
• Ensure patients can operate and maintain equipment.
• Perform clinical assessments (pulse oximetry, ETCO2, spirometry, vitals).
• Manage routine patient follow-up contacts.
• May perform on-call duties as needed.
• Operate respiratory care equipment (oxygen, nebulization, PAP, ventilation).
• Prepare and maintain patient records and plans.
• Coordinate with referring physicians on care plans.
