Job summary

BrightStar Care of Amarillo is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant to work under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist in patients' homes across the Amarillo area. You will help patients improve mobility, strength, and independence with care that fits into daily life.

The role emphasizes one-on-one patient care, independence in scheduling, and collaboration with families, with a focus on compassionate, faith-based service delivery and ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

• Active Texas PTA license
• Minimum 1 year of experience preferred
• Current BLS/CPR certification
• Own device and reliable internet connection required to access your schedule and complete charting
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to work independently and manage your schedule effectively

Responsibilities

• Carry out treatment plans established by the supervising Physical Therapist
• Provide physical therapy services in patients’ homes
• Work with pediatric and adult patients
• Coordinate visits directly with patients and families
• Document care and communicate patient progress to the supervising PT and care team
