Job summary

Aveanna Healthcare in Greenwood, SC seeks a Full-Time Physical Therapy Assistant to provide skilled education, treatment, and interventions as directed by the Physician in the home health plan of care. You will collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to optimize patient well-being.

Under supervision you will deliver direct physical therapy, educate patients and caregivers on safe device use, document progress, and participate in discharge planning.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Physical Therapist Assistant program from an accredited institution.
• Current, unrestricted PTA license in the state of practice.
• Valid CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct physical therapy per the supervising PT and the plan of care.
• Communicate updates to patient and caregiver regarding the plan of care.
• Deliver skilled therapy services and procedures for patient care and safety.
• Record observations and progress, and report to supervisors/physician/RN when applicable.
• Educate patients and caregivers on safe use of prosthetic/orthotic devices and carryover techniques.
