Job summary

EmergencyMD is seeking Personal Support Specialists (PSS) in Edgecomb, Maine, to provide in-home personal care for adults and seniors. You will assist clients with daily living tasks to promote their safety and independence.

This role offers both full-time and part-time positions, with flexible scheduling options ranging from 2-40 hours per week. PSS staff work directly with clients, ensuring a meaningful and respectful experience.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 17 years of age.
• Active PSS certification or willingness to enroll in training within 60 days of hire.
• No experience required – training and support provided.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with personal care tasks such as bathing and grooming.
• Support clients with mobility and transfers, including use of mobility aids.
• Help with household tasks related to care including light housekeeping.

Skills

Strong communication skills

Ability to work independently

Physical ability to assist with mobility and daily activities

Education

High School Diploma or GED preferred

Active PSS certification in the State of Maine
