Visiting Angels of Lufkin is seeking an In Home Personal Aide to support seniors in Deep East Texas, including San Augustine, Lufkin, Nacogdoches and surrounding areas.

As a caregiver, you will help with personal care, light housekeeping, meals, and mobility, while encouraging exercise and independence. You’ll report health changes promptly and follow state and agency safety standards. Flexible shifts available, with weekly pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Excellent time-management skills.
• Reliable transportation to client visits.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Pass a background check and drug screen.
• First Aid training and emergency response knowledge.
• Compassion for vulnerable people seeking companionship.
• Willingness to comply with health and safety standards.

Responsabilités

• Help clients with personal care and hygiene.
• Manage light housekeeping.
• Encourage clients to meet their exercise and fitness goals.
• Prompt clients to take their prescription medications at the right times.
• Help clients with shopping and putting away groceries (or shopping for them).
• Plan and prepare meals in collaboration with clients (based on client ability).
• Assist clients with mobility and ambulation.
