Visiting Angels of Lufkin is hiring a Private Duty/Home Care Aide to assist seniors across Deep East Texas, including San Augustine, Lufkin, Nacogdoches, and nearby communities. You’ll support clients at home with daily tasks and compassionate care.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Excellent time-management skills.
• Reliable transportation to client visits.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Familiarity with basic housekeeping and cooking tasks.
• Must pass background check and drug screen.
• Training in First Aid and emergency response.
• A heart for vulnerable people seeking meaningful companionship.

Responsibilities

• Helping clients with personal care and hygiene.
• Managing light housekeeping.
• Encouraging clients to meet exercise and fitness goals.
• Prompting clients to take their prescription medications at the right times.
• Helping clients with shopping and putting away groceries (or shopping for them).
• Planning and preparing meals in collaboration with clients (based on client ability).
• Assisting clients with mobility and ambulation - this can include everything from getting around the house to visiting the doctor and taking walks.
