Job summary

Visiting Angels Springfield is seeking compassionate In Home Patient Care Assistants (PCA) to support seniors in their homes. Earn $16-$20/hour with weekly pay, plus a $400 sign-on bonus. Flexible hours include full-time, part-time, PRN, weekdays, nights and weekends.

Shifts range from 1 to 12 hours and you can create your own schedule. Benefits include paid orientation, PTO, health/dental/vision insurance, travel time with mileage reimbursement, and a caregiver mentor program.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Help clients take prescribed medication.
• Assist clients with ambulation and mobility.
• Assist with personal care and hygiene.
• Support clients with routine exercises.
• Plan and prepare meals with client input.
• Shop for the client or accompany them shopping.
• Perform light housekeeping.
• Be a pleasant and supportive companion.
• Report any unusual incidents.
• Act quickly and responsibly in emergencies.

In Home Patient Care Assistant - PCA Responsibilities

• Help clients take prescribed medication
• Assist clients with ambulation and mobility around the house or outside (doctor’s appointments, walks, etc.)
• Assist clients with personal care and hygiene
• Help clients with routine exercises
• Plan and prepare meals with assistance from the clients (when they are able)
• Do the client’s shopping or accompany them when they shop
• Perform light housekeeping duties that clients can’t complete on their own
• Be a pleasant and supportive companion
• Report any unusual incidents
• Act quickly and responsibly in cases of emergency
