Visiting Angels Springfield is actively seeking a compassionate Patient Care Assistant (PCA) to support seniors in the Central Illinois area. You will assist with daily living activities, mobility, meals, and personal care while providing companionship and safe transportation when needed.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with daily living activities including mobility and personal care.
• Support medication reminders and health monitoring as directed by caregivers.
• Assist with meal preparation and light housekeeping tasks.
• Provide companionship and transportation as needed.
• Document changes in client condition and report to supervisor.

Patient Care Assistant - PCA Responsibilities

• Help clients take prescribed medication
• Assist clients with ambulation and mobility around the house or outside (doctor’s appointments, walks, etc.)
• Assist clients with personal care and hygiene
• Help clients with routine exercises
• Plan and prepare meals with assistance from the clients (when they are able)
• Do the client’s shopping or accompany them when they shop
• Perform light housekeeping duties that clients can’t complete on their own
• Be a pleasant and supportive companion
• Report any unusual incidents
• Act quickly and responsibly in cases of emergency

Patient Care Assistant - PCA Requirements
