Job summary

Humana Inc. and its OneHome division are seeking an Occupational Therapist 2 to evaluate patients, improve basic motor functions and cognitive reasoning, and assist physicians with initial evaluations.

You will administer treatment plans, teach activities of daily living, train on prosthetic devices, and support other health-care team members while documenting services per policy. Must hold Florida licensure, CPR, OSHA, HIV/AIDS, HIPAA, Alzheimer’s, Medical Errors, and Domestic Violence

Qualifications

• Must be licensed in the State of Florida.
• CPR, OSHA, HIV/AIDS, HIPAA, Alzheimer’s, Medical Errors and Domestic Violence certificates.
• Valid Florida driver's license required for field work.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates patients and helps improve basic motor functions and reasoning abilities.
• Assists physicians with initial evaluation to determine needs and goals.
• Administers treatment programs and teaches activities of daily living.
• Trains in proper use of prosthetic devices and adaptive equipment.
• Instructs other health care team members and documents services per policy.
• Participates in team meetings and adheres to HIPAA and agency policies.
• Monitors and supervises the occupational therapist assistant and communicates issues.
