Job summary

ProHealth Home Health in Mobile, AL seeks an Occupational Therapist to provide in-home therapy on an intermittent basis under physician orders and plan of care. You will assess patients, develop plans, and coordinate with the care team.

Candidates must be licensed in the state, eligible for national certification, and preferably two years of experience. This role requires travel to patient homes and collaboration with physicians and supervisors.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an Occupational Therapy curriculum accredited by the AMA/AOTA and/or certified by National Certification.
• Eligible for the National Registration Examination of the AOTA.
• Currently licensed in the practicing state(s).
• Two years experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Implements prescribed occupational therapy to patients in their homes.
• Improves or minimizes residual disabilities and promotes optimal functioning.
• Develops and revises plan of care with physician approval; submits evaluations and progress notes.
• Directs and supervises personnel as required; communicates with physicians regarding treatment changes.
• Performs initial history, evaluation, and all skilled procedures.
• Educates patients and families in home programs and fine motor exercises.
• Participates in in-service programs and QAPI activities.
