Job summary

Metro Physical & Aquatic Therapy in Manhattan seeks a per diem Occupational Therapist to provide in-home care. The position offers 1099 and W-2 options and a flexible schedule.

Training and mentorship are provided, with opportunities to grow within a supportive team. Responsibilities include delivering 1:1 occupational therapy, evaluating patients, developing individualized plans, educating caregivers, and documenting visits.

Qualifications

• Licensed OT in NY or eligible.
• Graduate of an OT program.
• Ability to travel to patients' homes.

Responsibilities

• Accept and treat patients within your designated geographic area.
• Provide 1:1 treatment.
• Evaluate patients and develop individualized treatment plans based on physician orders and patient needs.
• Deliver care that aligns with professional standards, agency policies, and the prescribed plan of care.
• Educate family members, home health aides, and other caregivers on proper therapy techniques.
• Plan and carry out occupational therapy programs to maintain, improve or restore physical function.
• Perform and document an initial exam, evaluating the data to identify problems and determine a diagnosis prior to intervention.
• Provide timely and accurate documentation for each visit.
• Evaluate effects of treatment at various stages and adjust treatments to achieve maximum benefit.
• Must be willing to treat geriatric patients.
