Job summary

Continuum of Colorado Inc. is seeking a Movement Therapist to deliver licensed in-home, one-on-one movement therapy for children and adults using music or dance as a therapeutic tool.

Services support behavioral, developmental, physical, social, communication, pain management, cognition and gross motor skills. Role requires a Masters in Dance Movement Therapy and willingness to drive across the Denver Metro, Fort Collins, and Colorado Springs areas; travel time is reimbursed.

Qualifications

• Masters degree in Dance Movement Therapy (R-DMT or BC-DMT).
• Two years experience or related education in working with persons with developmental disabilities (preferred).
• Working knowledge of the developmental disabilities system, rules and regulations (preferred).
• Knowledge of motor development, motor disorders and therapeutic interventions.
• Ability to maintain training, certifications and licensure.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills and ability to communicate with individuals served, families and staff.
• Ability to meet physical demands and work flexible hours.
• Personal vehicle and Colorado driver license; driving requirements: no suspensions in past 3 years and <=2 tickets in 3 years.

Responsibilities

• Initiate contact with individuals, families and providers as necessary.
• Perform consultative visits to families and coordinate with team members.
• Establish treatment goals and monitor progress for therapy plans.
• Complete program documentation and maintain case files.
• Ensure adherence to DIDD rules and agency policies.
