Job summary

Thrive Education Partners is seeking an experienced ISEE preparation tutor to work with a 5th-grade student in Houston, TX. This role focuses on Lower Level ISEE pacing, endurance, and targeted content review to ensure student readiness for the 2+ hour exam.

The tutor assesses current performance, designs a focused plan, and provides instruction in vocabulary, reading, and math while communicating progress with the family. Start ASAP with consistent weekly sessions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Education, English, Mathematics, or a related field.
• Direct experience providing Lower Level ISEE preparation.
• Experience as a test-prep tutor, upper-elementary or middle school tutor.

Responsibilities

• Assess the student's current performance and identify priorities across Verbal Reasoning, Quantitative Reasoning, Reading Comprehension, and Mathematics Achievement.
• Develop a targeted, individualized preparation plan based on strengths and gaps.
• Provide focused instruction in vocabulary, reading, math reasoning, and problem solving for upper-elementary level.
• Teach pacing strategies and build test endurance for a 2+ hour exam.
• Communicate progress regularly with the family and adjust instruction based on data.
