La-Z-Boy Incorporated in Edina, MN is seeking an Interior Designer to lead the In-Home Design program, translate client needs into design concepts, conduct in-home consultations, and strengthen sales teams with design expertise.

Training pay is $20 per hour for 2-6 weeks with no commission; average annual earnings range from $60,000 to $90,000+ including base, bonus, and commission. This role offers uncapped commissions and growth in a design-driven environment.

Qualifications

• Passionate about home furnishings, design trends, and creating beautiful spaces.
• Detail-oriented with a strong eye for color, texture, and layout.
• Confident working directly with clients to bring their design vision to life.
• Experience in design, home furnishings, or client-focused retail is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Store and Sales Managers to understand the client’s style, lifestyle, and vision for the space.
• Design inspiring spaces using premium furniture, fabrics, and décor.
• Provide professional design consultations, including layout planning and product recommendations.
• Create cohesive looks that bring comfort, style, and functionality together.
• Promote the La-Z-Boy In-Home Design program to draft design solutions and present customized portfolios to meet sales goals.
• Coach and train sales teams to improve design culture, product knowledge, and client consultations.
• Collaborate with the team to ensure execution of operational excellence.
