Job summary

Heartstrings Pet Hospice is seeking a compassionate veterinarian to deliver in-home hospice and euthanasia care. You will work across Denver metro areas with a flexible 2–5 day schedule and self-managed options, ensuring families can say goodbye with dignity.

The role emphasizes autonomy in the field, supportive mentorship, and a focus on compassionate care for both pets and grieving families. A valid US license and driving ability are required.

Qualifications

• DVM/VMD/BVMS degree and licensure in the US.
• Willingness to perform in-home hospice and euthanasia.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted and up to 90 lbs with assistance.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate end-of-life care in pets' homes.
• Answer questions from families with kindness and empathy.
• Maintain schedule with self-managed options and collaborate with the team as needed.
