Job summary

Heartstrings Pet Hospice is seeking In-Home Hospice and Euthanasia Veterinarians to serve pet families across Cambridge, Brookline, Quincy, and Boston, MA. This role offers professional autonomy and compassionate care in the home setting, outside of traditional clinics.

You will provide in-home hospice, palliative care, quality-of-life support, and compassionate euthanasia services, traveling to client homes and documenting care.

Qualifications

• Ability to communicate with empathy and professionalism during sensitive end-of-life conversations.
• Valid U.S. driver's license and ability to travel between in-home appointments.
• Active veterinary license in applicable state(s) and eligibility to practice independently.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-home hospice, palliative care, quality-of-life support, and euthanasia services.
• Travel to scheduled appointments and work in a mobile veterinary care setting.
• Perform examinations, assessments, and procedures within regulatory guidelines.
• Document medical records accurately and professionally for each encounter.
• Maintain professionalism and autonomy while collaborating with Heartstrings teams.
