Qualifications

• DVM or equivalent degree and license to practice in SC/US
• Ability to travel between scheduled home visits
• Strong communication with pet families and the veterinary team
• Comfort with in-home end-of-life veterinary care and euthanasia

Responsibilities

• Provide in-home hospice, palliative care, quality-of-life support, and euthanasia services
• Travel independently to patient homes and work outside traditional clinics
• Perform physical exams, anesthesia/sedation, and clinical documentation in the field
• Educate families on quality-of-life decisions and end-of-life options
• Maintain accurate medical records and coordinate with Heartstrings team
