Job summary

Heartstrings Pet Hospice is seeking compassionate veterinarians to provide in-home hospice and euthanasia care across the East Bay, Oakland, Berkeley and Richmond areas. You will work on the road with independence, backed by a supportive team and onboarding. Choose from 2–5 day schedules with self-managed options and a guaranteed base with quarterly bonuses.

Requires a DVM/VMD/BVMS and a valid U.S. driver’s license.

Qualifications

• DVM/VMD/BVMS required.
• License verification and background check will be completed prior to start.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted and 90 lbs with assistance.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-home hospice and end-of-life care for pets.
• Practice medicine on the road with independence and mentorship support.
• Schedule options include 2/3-day, 4-day or 5-day weeks with prorated self-managed scheduling.
