Job summary

HomeTown Services seeks a Comfort Advisor – Generator Sales to guide residential and commercial customers through standby and portable generator solutions, from initial evaluation to commissioning.

You will develop detailed proposals, perform load calculations, and coordinate with installation crews, electrical teams, and permitting authorities to ensure a seamless customer experience. Experience with CAD-assisted layouts and ServiceTitan is required, with a focus on in-home consultative sales.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of generator sales or related electrical field experience.
• Knowledge of standby generator systems, ATS, load calculations, and fuel delivery systems.
• Ability to read electrical diagrams and single-line drawings.
• Experience producing CAD site layouts using AutoCAD/SketchUp/Nearmap.
• Valid driver’s license with clean record.
• Strong consultative sales skills with in-home/on-site closing.
• Proficiency with ServiceTitan or ability to learn within 30 days (estimates, pricing, closeout).
• Familiarity with permitting, AHJ, and utility coordination.
• Generator certifications preferred or willingness to obtain within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Conduct in-home consultations to assess power needs and electrical infrastructure.
• Develop site-specific proposals with CAD drawings showing generator placement and transfer switches.
• Sell residential and light commercial standby systems and related components.
• Prepare ServiceTitan estimates, present options, and secure signatures and payments.
• Coordinate with installation teams and permitting authorities for project execution.
• Maintain records of estimates, proposals, and installation schedules.
