Job summary

AMIkids is seeking a Family Services Specialist to execute family engagement and psychoeducation for youth entering or leaving programs in the Hillsborough County (Tampa) area.

The role involves in-home family skills training, coordinating community supports, and maintaining accurate documentation. Travel up to 80% is required, with a focus on collaboration with schools, families, and regional programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, Criminal Justice or related field; Master's preferred.
• Two (2) years' experience working with at risk or troubled youth preferred.
• Experience working with families in the home environment, providing counseling or psychoeducation and training is highly desirable.
• Ability to travel; up to 80% of the time.

Responsibilities

• Conduct in-home family skills training and assist parents with concerns and/or youth issues. Work in home environment, youth's school and workplace, and regional programs.
• Coordinate activities to meet family needs in the community and ensure transition needs are met.
• Develop partnerships with and maintain contacts with key individuals.
• Develop positive school/community relations with industry contacts.
• Administer Psychoeducation services within AMIkids Personal Growth Model and Evidence Based Practices.
• Oversee family assessments and treatment plans within contractual guidelines.
• Participate in progress meetings with treatment team.
• Ensure weekly behavioral updates and accurate session notes.
• Lead and/or participate in positive reinforcement, interdisciplinary and care review meetings.
• Administer First Aid and CPR during emergencies per national standards.
• Complete administrative tasks: staff meetings, reports, liaison with offices, monthly audits.
