Job summary

Lutheran Community Services NW seeks a qualified candidate to provide in-home services to families, adolescents and children, assessing parental capacities and barriers, and developing collaborative goal plans.

You will work with DHS/Self-Sufficiency and community partners, using Motivational Interviewing and Wraparound approaches to support family stability, health, and safety while maintaining strict privacy and professional boundaries.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in social work, psychology or counseling is required (extensive experience may substitute).
• At least two years of experience working with high-need families in the last five years.
• Must uphold HIPAA standards and professional boundaries while working in clients' homes and communities.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-home services to children, adolescents and families.
• Assess parental capacities related to child safety and well-being and identify barriers.
• Help family members overcome barriers and identify strengths.
• Coordinate case activities with DHS/Self-Sufficiency, schools and community partners.
• Provide parent-child coaching and facilitate effective communication.
• Maintain accurate and current client records including progress notes and plans.
