Job summary

Hawthorne Health, Inc. is seeking a Registered Cardiac Sonographer to travel to patient homes and perform echocardiograms for both adult and pediatric patients.

You will transport and set up portable ultrasound equipment, explain procedures, and obtain informed cooperation from participants. The role requires 3+ years of sonography experience, RDCS/ARDMS or RCS/CCI certification, AE certification preferred, BLS, and a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• RDCS/ARDMS or RCS/CCI certification required.
• AE certification required; PE is a plus.
• 3+ years of sonography experience in adult and pediatric populations.
• BLS certification.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation; willingness to travel locally/regionally.
• Access to a PC and reliable Internet; tech-savvy with digital tools.
• Ability to work independently in non-traditional settings.
• Excellent patient communication and bedside manner.
• Adaptability in dynamic, field-based environments.
• Time management and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Travel to patient homes to conduct visits.
• Transport and set up portable ultrasound equipment.
• Explain procedures and obtain informed cooperation from participant.
• Perform echocardiograms per protocol on adult and pediatric patients.
• Monitor patient comfort and safety during imaging.
• Follow sponsor and protocol-specific imaging guidelines.
• Ensure accurate image acquisition and proper labeling for cardiology review.
• Complete preliminary report with measurements and sonographer comments.
• Maintain high-quality standards consistent with ASE Standards.
• Perform basic troubleshooting of imaging equipment.
