Job summary

Hawthorne Health is seeking a travel-friendly Diagnostic Sonographer to perform echocardiograms at patient homes across the region. You will setup portable ultrasound equipment, explain procedures, and obtain informed cooperation from participants, including both adult and pediatric patients.

You will document measurements and sonographer comments, ensuring image quality adheres to ASE standards. The ideal candidate has 3+ years of recent sonography experience and holds RDCS or RCS certification

Qualifications

• 3+ years of recent sonography experience in both adult and pediatric patients.
• Certification in Adult Echocardiography (AE) is required.
• RDCS or RCS certification is required by the respective credentialing body.
• Valid BLS certification and a valid driver’s license are required.

Responsibilities

• Travel to patient homes to conduct visits.
• Operate and troubleshoot portable ultrasound equipment.
• Explain procedures and obtain informed cooperation from participants.
• Perform echocardiograms on adults and children per protocol.
• Monitor patient comfort and safety during imaging.
• Follow sponsor and imaging guidelines.
• Ensure accurate image acquisition and labeling for cardiology review.
• Complete preliminary report with measurements and sonographer comments.
• Maintain high-quality standards per ASE guidelines.
