Job summary

Hawthorne Health, Inc. is seeking a qualified cardiac sonographer to travel to patient homes and perform echocardiograms on both adult and pediatric patients.

You will set up portable ultrasound equipment, explain procedures, and obtain informed cooperation from participants while ensuring patient safety and comfort. The role requires RDCS or RCS certification, AE certification a plus, and 3+ years of sonography experience.

Qualifications

• RDCS or RCS certification must be current.
• AE certification preferred but not required.
• 3+ years of sonography experience in adult and pediatric populations.
• BLS certification required.
• Valid driver’s license with ability to travel locally/regionally.
• Proficient with PC and internet; comfortable with digital tools.

Responsibilities

• Travel to patient homes to conduct visits.
• Transport and set up portable ultrasound equipment.
• Explain procedures and obtain informed cooperation from participant.
• Perform echocardiograms per protocol on adult and pediatric patients.
• Monitor patient comfort and safety during imaging.
• Follow sponsor and protocol-specific imaging guidelines.
• Ensure accurate image acquisition and proper labeling for cardiology review.
• Complete preliminary report with measurements and sonographer comments.
• Maintain high-quality standards consistent with ASE Standards.
• Perform basic troubleshooting of imaging equipment.
