Brightpoint is seeking a dedicated Early Head Start Home Visitor to work in Fort Wayne, IN, supporting families weekly in their homes. The role focuses on improving parenting skills, arranging developmentally appropriate activities, and guiding families toward self-sufficiency.

The position requires an Associate Degree in Education or Social Services, strong communication skills, and the ability to use Word/Excel. Some evenings and driving in Indiana are expected.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Education, Social Services or related field.
• Work experience in Early Childhood Education or home visiting preferred.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Must know Word and Excel; able to work in an online database.
• Ability to work outside the office with minimal supervision.
• Maintain confidentiality of communications and records.
• Must obtain Home Visitor CDA within 12 months of hire.
• Must become First Aid and CPR certified within 12 months of employment.
• Ability to relate well with diverse staff and clients, including low income.
• Willing to work some flexible hours, including evenings; Indiana driver’s license.

Responsabilités

• Assist parents in improving parenting skills; use home as primary learning environment.
• Provide learning opportunities to enhance child growth and development.
• Screen infants/toddlers within 45 days of enrollment.
• Help families obtain a medical and dental home and EPSDT updates.
• Complete family self-sufficiency screening and coaching.
• Develop warm, respectful relationships with each child and parent.
• Conduct ongoing child development assessments with families.
