Job summary

Serenity at Heart seeks reliable Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to deliver compassionate, non-medical in-home support to clients requiring ADL assistance. The DSP will promote dignity, independence, and safety within the home and community, helping with daily activities and ensuring client comfort.

Responsibilities include personal care, mobility assistance, meal prep, medication reminders, documentation, and transportation support as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience in home care, long-term care, behavioral health or similar setting.
• CPR certification (or willingness to obtain).
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to pass background screening.
• Current TB screening.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with bathing, grooming, dressing, and personal hygiene.
• Toileting and incontinence care.
• Mobility assistance and safe transfers.
• Hoyer lift assistance (if trained).
• Meal preparation and feeding support.
• Light housekeeping related to client care.
• Medication reminders (as permitted).
• Supporting client goals and independence.
• Assisting with community outings and appointments.
• Monitoring and reporting changes in client condition.
• Maintaining accurate documentation.
