Job summary

Serenity, LLC is hiring compassionate Direct Support Professionals to provide one-on-one support to adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in their homes and communities across New Jersey. The role offers day, evening, and weekend shifts with flexible scheduling, paid training, and competitive pay of $21.50 to $26.50 per hour.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• At least 18 years old.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable, insured vehicle.
• Ability to pass background checks and DDD screenings.
• Smartphone or computer access for documentation.
• Experience supporting individuals with I/DD is preferred but not required.
• CPR and First Aid training provided if needed.

Responsibilities

• Support community activities, appointments, errands, and social opportunities.
• Teach daily living skills such as cooking, cleaning, budgeting, and shopping.
• Assist with personal care and medication reminders as authorized.
• Provide safe transportation.
• Follow individualized service plans and person-centered goals.
• Complete timely service notes and required documentation.
• Promote independence, dignity, choice, and self-advocacy.
