Job summary

Abound Health is hiring compassionate Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to provide in-home support for an individual living independently in her apartment. This role focuses on safety, comfort, and independence, with opportunities to build meaningful relationships and develop new skills.

Starting pay is $17.00 to $19.50 per hour plus a $1,000 signing bonus paid in installments when averaging full-time hours.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Valid driver’s license with active auto insurance and reliable transportation.
• Ability to pass background, driving, and healthcare registry checks.
• Willingness to provide hands-on personal care and transfer assistance.
• Ability to lift and assist as required by client needs.
• Compassionate, dependable, professional demeanor with strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Build positive, supportive relationship with the individual.
• Provide transfers and positioning assistance.
• Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) including personal care and hygiene.
• Support health, comfort, and safety throughout each shift.
• Assist with meal setup and beverages as needed.
