Job summary

Abound Health is hiring Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to provide in-home support for an individual living independently in her own apartment. The role includes transfers, ADLs, personal care, companionship, and overnight support.

You will work with a compassionate team, receive paid onboarding and training, weekly pay, and opportunities for growth. A $1,000 signing bonus is offered for full-time hours.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Valid driver’s license and auto insurance with reliable transportation.
• Ability to pass criminal and health registry checks.
• Willingness to provide hands-on personal care and transfer assistance.
• Ability to lift and assist as required by client needs.
• Compassionate, dependable, and professional demeanor.
• Strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Build a positive and supportive relationship with the individual.
• Provide full assistance with transfers and positioning.
• Assist with activities of daily living including personal care and hygiene.
• Support health, comfort, and safety during each shift.
• Assist with meal setup and beverages as needed.
• Provide companionship and engage in preferred activities (coloring, tablet games, TV).
• Monitor needs and respond during overnight shifts.
• Maintain a clean, safe living environment.
• Communicate with family and Abound Health team.
• Complete required documentation and service notes.
• Participate in ongoing training and professional development.
