Job summary

Kindly Direct Care is seeking a dependable Direct Support Professional for a one-to-one in-home and community support position in Hazlet, NJ. The role emphasizes dignity, privacy, and promoting as much independence as possible.

You will assist a 55-year-old male with Cerebral Palsy, provide personal care, prompts, and participate in meaningful activities while following care plans and reporting concerns promptly.

Qualifications

• Hands-on personal care required for this assignment.
• Reliable, respectful and attentive to safety.
• Able to follow detailed instructions and maintain boundaries.
• Prior DSP/HHA/CNA/PCA or disability-services experience preferred.
• Able to meet physical requirements of the assignment.

Responsibilities

• Assist a 55-year-old male with Cerebral Palsy with dressing, changing, meal prep and daily hygiene.
• Provide verbal prompting and personal care when needed.
• Support daily routines and encourage independence.
• Offer one-to-one supervision, companionship and safety support.
• Assist with community participation, errands, appointments and activities.
• Follow individualized care, behavioral, medical and safety instructions.
• Observe changes and promptly report concerns.
• Complete required service documentation, timekeeping and communication on time.
