Job summary

Assisting Hands of Orland Park is seeking a compassionate Caregiver to provide in-home care, promoting comfort, safety, dignity, and independence for each client. You will work under the Care Manager and coordinate with the Staffing Coordinator to assist with personal care, daily living activities, mobility, meals, and light housekeeping according to each Plan of Care.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• One year of experience in home care preferred.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and caregiving skills.
• Ability to follow care plans and safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Clean & Safe Environment: light housekeeping, laundry, dishes, maintain a clean home and report hazards.
• Personal Care & Assistance: assist with ADLs, mobility, meals, and privacy.
• Nutritional Support: prepare meals per Plan of Care and assist with hydration.
• Client Health & Well-Being: observe changes and document care.
• Mobility & Physical Activities: assist with transfer equipment and safe mobility.
• Infection Control & Compliance: follow CDC guidelines and uphold policies.
