Job summary

Gateways to Change, Inc. is seeking dedicated Direct Support Workers to provide in-home and community-based support for adults with developmental and physical disabilities.

You will assist with daily living, socialization, and achieving personal goals while transporting clients to appointments and activities. The role requires a valid driver's license, ability to pass a background check, and strong organizational and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver’s license and current auto insurance.
• Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide In-Home and Community Based support to individuals
• Assist individuals with achieving goals in the home and local community
• Transport individuals to medical appointments, personal shopping, and recreation activities
• Assist in toileting, dressing, and hygiene
• Administration of medication
• Cultivate safe and supportive relationships
• Be creative, organized, and efficient
• Comfortable in a fast-paced environment and bring fun to the job
• Working independently and with staff
