Mercy Health in Ohio is seeking a Community Paramedic to perform in-home assessment, stabilization, and transport coordination for acutely ill patients. The role emphasizes clinical judgment, adherence to standing orders, and collaboration with physicians and medical control.

Responsibilities include patient exams, follow-up care, education on chronic diseases, and reporting through program templates. EMT-P certification and ACLS are preferred, with a valid driver's license essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Completion of a Paramedic program at certificate or associate level is required.
• EMT-P certification is preferred and ACLS is preferred.

Responsabilités

• Examines, screens, treats, and coordinates health services for patients.
• Conducts post-hospital follow-up care including monitoring medications, dressing changes, and vital signs.
• Observes, records, and reports patient conditions and responses to treatments to physician or Medical Control.
• Educates patients on diabetes prevention/treatment, hypertension, CHF, COPD, falls risk, nutrition, and related topics.
• Administers patient care per department protocols and physician orders.
• Coordinates appointments and follow-up with physicians and hospitals.
• Develops and completes reports for the Community Paramedic Program.
