Mercy Health is seeking a Community Paramedic to provide in-home primary care and education, assess and stabilize acutely ill patients, and arrange transport when needed. The role requires strong clinical judgment and collaboration with physicians and Medical Control.

The position involves high-stress, variable workloads, and extensive patient education on chronic conditions. A valid EMT-P, ACLS, and driver’s license are preferred; experience and readiness for home-based care are essential.

Qualifications

• EMT-P certification preferred.
• ACLS certification preferred.
• Valid driver's license is required.
• 1 year of experience as a CCEMTP preferred.
• 3 years EMT-P experience required.
• Must be at least 23 years old.

Responsabilités

• Examine, screen, treat, and coordinate health services for patients.
• Conduct post-hospital follow-up including monitoring medications and vital signs.
• Observe, record, and report patient conditions to physicians.
• Provide patient education on diabetes, hypertension, CHF, COPD, falls, nutrition.
