Job summary

AltaPointe Health in Mobile, AL seeks an in-home therapist to provide clinical assessment, treatment planning, and multiple therapy modalities for children, adolescents, and families in the community.

You will conduct individual, group, play, and family therapies, coordinate with families and agencies, and participate in crisis intervention as needed. Documentation and adherence to AltaPointe policies are required.

Qualifications

• Master degree in a mental health discipline; Juvenile Justice experience preferred.
• Minimum of 1 year post-master experience in child and adolescent or family therapy.
• Must obtain in-home intervention and case management certification within six months of employment from Alabama State Department of Mental Health.
• Valid driver license with a clear driving record.

Responsibilities

• Provides effective clinical assessment of the consumer.
• Formulates appropriate treatment plan along with consumer and family/guardian, as indicated.
• Provides individual, group, family and play therapy, utilizing basic therapeutic models and theories according to consumer needs as stated in the treatment plan.
• Provides outreach services to consumers and their families according to FIND standards.
• Demonstrates the ability to recognize crisis states and deescalate or resolve the situation.
• Effectively collaborates with staff members and outside sources in the delivery of clinical services.
• Evaluates and assists with consumer discharge planning.
• Adheres to professional code of ethics.
