Job summary

Assisting Hands Home Care is seeking compassionate caregivers to support clients at home. You will provide personal care, mobility aid, meal prep, and companionship in a respectful, family-like setting.

We value training, growth opportunities, and flexible weekend shifts. Prior caregiving is helpful but not required; training will be provided to succeed.

Qualifications

• 18 years or older.
• Responsible, mature, and dependable.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively.
• CPR & First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain within 2 weeks).
• Reliable transportation, valid insurance, and good driving record.
• Ability to pass a background check and TB test (or obtain within 2 weeks).
• Previous home care or long-term care experience preferred — not required.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with personal care (bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting)
• Helping with mobility and safe transfers
• Meal preparation and nutritional support
• Medication reminders
• Light housekeeping and laundry
• Providing companionship and emotional support
• Transportation to appointments, errands, and social activities
• Supporting clients living with Alzheimer’s or dementia
• Documenting care using AxisCare app
• Following all safety and infection-control policies
