Job summary

Family Resource Home Care in The Dalles, OR is hiring caregivers for DAY shifts with weekday and weekend availability. We will match you with clients fitting your schedule; open to all levels of care experience and we provide training. Bilingual caregivers (Spanish) are especially needed in Hood River and The Dalles.

Qualifications

• 18 years+
• Pass state and national background check
• Valid driver’s license, auto insurance and clean driving record
• REQUIRED: must be able to transport clients in reliable vehicle, WA or OR driver’s license and active auto insurance
• Ability to adapt to flexible schedules

Responsibilities

• Household chores (cleaning, laundry, dishes, etc.)
• Cooking and/or serving meals
• Helping clients bathe, dress, and groom
• Providing companionship through daily activities and hobbies
• Driving clients to the store or appointments
• Monitoring and reporting on client condition
• REQUIRED: must be able to transport clients in reliable vehicle

Our office in The Dalles serves The Dalles, Hood River, Wasco and the surrounding areas. We will find a client that fits your availability. Looking for Caregivers available for DAY shifts; weekdays and weekend availability!

Current Needs

• Open to all level of care experience - we will train!
• Heavily needs for Caregivers in Hood River and The Dalles
• Open weekend shifts for anyone looking for part-time work
• Variety of short shifts (can be stacked for fuller schedule!)
• Bilingual Caregivers needed - (Spanish speaking preferred)

Pay

$21-$23.50 depending on level of care given, + paid training and mileage reimbursement.

Caregiver Job Duties

Our caregivers support their clients in activities of daily living such as (but not limited to):

• Household chores (cleaning, laundry, dishes, etc.)
• Cooking and/or serving meals
• Helping clients bathe, dress, and groom
• Providing companionship through daily activities and hobbies
• Driving clients (as needed) to the store or appointments
• Monitoring and reporting on their condition
• REQUIRED: must be able to transport clients in reliable vehicle, driver's license and active auto insurance

Additional Information

• Our hiring process is fast and simple! The recruiter in your region will connect with you to schedule a phone interview. If hired, you will be scheduled for orientation at your branch. Once you have completed onboarding, orientation, and training, you can start working with clients!
• If you have not previously completed the state-required 8-hour Home Care Pulse caregiver training, you will be required to complete the training along with the nurse-led medication training before you can work with clients. You will be paid to complete both trainings!
• Looking for caregiver who reside in Hood River or the Dalles for local clients.

Requirements
