Job summary

Family Resource Home Care is seeking caregivers to support clients in The Dalles, Hood River, Wasco and surrounding areas. Open shifts include days and weekends for part‑time roles. Training is provided, and bilingual (Spanish) caregivers are welcome.

Competitive hourly pay plus mileage reimbursement and paid training help you grow with our team. Responsibilities include daily living assistance, companionship, client transport, and documenting care.

Qualifications

• 18 years+
• Ability to pass state and national background check
• Valid driver’s license, auto insurance and clean driving record
• Ability to complete state‑required caregiver training as needed
• Ability to adapt to flexible schedules

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with activities of daily living (e.g., cleaning, laundry, cooking)
• Provide companionship and engage clients in activities/hobbies
• Transport clients in a reliable vehicle as needed
• Monitor and report client status to the team
• Assist with mobility and personal care as required

Our office in The Dalles serves The Dalles, Hood River, Wasco and the surrounding areas. We will find a client that fits your availability. Join us today! Looking for Caregivers available for DAY shifts; weekdays and weekend availability!

Current needs:

• Open to all level of care experience - we will train!
• Heavily needs for Caregivers in Hood River and The Dalles
• Open weekend shifts for anyone looking for part-time work
• Variety of short shifts (can be stacked for fuller schedule!)
• Bilingual Caregivers needed - (Spanish speaking preferred)

Pay:

$21-$21.50 depending on level of care given, + paid training and mileage reimbursement.

Caregiver Job Duties:

Our caregivers support their clients in activities of daily living such as (but not limited to):

• Household chores (cleaning, laundry, dishes, etc.)
• Cooking and/or serving meals
• Helping clients bathe, dress, and groom
• Providing companionship through daily activities and hobbies
• Driving clients (as needed) to the store or appointments
• Monitoring and reporting on their condition
• REQUIRED: must be able to transport clients in reliable vehicle, driver's license and active auto insurance

Additional Information:

• If you have not previously completed the state-required 8-hour Home Care Pulse caregiver training, you will be required to complete the training along with the nurse‑led medication training before you can work with clients. You will be paid to complete both trainings!
• Looking for caregiver who reside in Hood River or the Dalles for local clients.
