Job summary

ComForCare Home Health Care in Lanham, MD is seeking a compassionate caregiver to support District Heights area clients at home. Duties include ADLs, meals, light housekeeping, transportation, and health monitoring with a focus on safety and comfort.

APPLICANTS MUST HAVE A DRIVER'S LICENSE AND A RELIABLE VEHICLE TO BE CONSIDERED

Responsibilities:

• Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting
• Provide companionship and emotional support to clients and their families
• Prepare meals and assist with feeding as needed
• Perform light housekeeping duties such as laundry, cleaning, and tidying living spaces
• Assist with medication reminders and monitor client health and well-being
• Provide transportation and accompany clients to appointments or errands
• Document and report any changes in client condition to supervisors

Requirements

• Previous caregiving, home health aide (HHA), or personal care aide (PCA) experience required
• Genuine compassion and patience when working with elderly or disabled individuals
• Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• CNA license is a plus
• CPR/First Aid certification is a plus
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
