Job summary

Visiting Angels Springfield is seeking an In Home Caregiver - Housekeeper to support seniors in the Central Illinois area with daily living tasks, light housekeeping, meal preparation, and mobility assistance.

This role offers a $16–$20 hourly pay range, a $400 sign-on bonus, weekly pay, and flexible shifts including full-time, part-time, PRN, weekdays and weekends. Training and mileage reimbursement are provided to help you grow and succeed.

Qualifications

• Passion to serve others—true caregiver.
• Excellent knowledge of emergency response and first aid.
• Knowledge of housekeeping and cooking with attention to dietary constraints.
• Willingness to adhere to health and safety standards.
• Respectful and compassionate; good time management.
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
• Own a vehicle with current insurance; Social Security Card.
• Must meet all qualifications to receive bonus.

Responsibilities

• Help clients take prescribed medication.
• Assist clients with ambulation and mobility in/out of the home.
• Assist with personal care and hygiene.
• Help with routine exercises.
• Plan and prepare meals with client input.
• Shop for clients or accompany them shopping.
• Perform light housekeeping tasks.
• Be a pleasant and supportive companion.
• Report any unusual incidents.
• Act quickly and responsibly in emergencies.

In Home Caregiver - Housekeeper Responsibilities

• Help clients take prescribed medication


• Assist clients with ambulation and mobility around the house or outside (doctor’s appointments, walks, etc.)


• Assist clients with personal care and hygiene


• Help clients with routine exercises


• Plan and prepare meals with assistance from the clients (when they are able)


• Do the client’s shopping or accompany them when they shop


• Perform light housekeeping duties that clients can’t complete on their own


• Be a pleasant and supportive companion


• Report any unusual incidents


• Act quickly and responsibly in cases of emergency
